Lift Tickets & Parking
To save money on lift tickets, pre-purchase them ahead of time, especially midweek deals like the midweek four pack at Palisades Tahoe or Northstar. Walk-up tickets are not available, so book early to ensure availability. Download Resort apps to keep up with weather conditions and check which lifts and runs will operate. Enable push notifications to get parking updates, as lots fill up fast. Book parking in advance and look out for free shuttles from the base areas at the resorts.
Rental Gear & Lessons
Rent skis and snowboards online to avoid cramming your car with gear and leave gear at the rental shop instead of lugging it back to your lodging. Pack plenty of base and mid layers to stay warm, including moisture-wicking ski socks, gloves, goggles, waterproof jacket and pants, and a beanie.
